The charitable arm of Tessera
Widening the door to an authentic Montessori education.
Held in trust. Kept whole.
The Tessera Initiative is a public charity in formation. It trains the guides who teach, helps families meet the cost of tuition, and funds honest research into how children learn. It also stands as a named enforcer of The Tessera Stewardship Trust, the fiduciary that keeps every Tessera school whole. It does not run the schools and it does not control the company: its work is the mission, not the money.
What this is
A charity with a plain job, and one unusual one.
Most of what the Initiative does is ordinary charitable work: it raises money and it puts that money into programs that widen access to Montessori education and protect its quality. The unusual part is a fiduciary duty. The Initiative is a named enforcer of the Trust that holds the mission-lock, which imports charity-grade accountability into the structure without giving the Initiative any control over the company.
